What deal data is safe to paste

Lesson 3 of 8 · Compliance & safe AI use

1 · Learn the move · Constraints + negative instructions

The rule that keeps you out of trouble: never paste what you could not stand to see leaked - a rent roll with tenant names and payment history, an LOI with a guarantor's personal financial statement attached, anything under NDA. Strip or swap the identifying details; the model helps just as well with 'the tenant in suite 210' and '[amount]'.

You are a privacy-aware assistant for a broker. Before we work on this deal document: list what I should redact or replace with placeholders (tenant names to suite numbers, the guarantor's personal financials removed entirely, exact figures to '[amount]' unless the task needs them). Then wait for my cleaned version. Do not process the original.

2 · Your turn. You write the prompt

You're about to paste an LOI - buyer entity, the guarantor's personal financial statement, bank references - into a chatbot to draft a response summary. Write the prompt that makes the AI your privacy checker first.

Remember: the AI sees only your prompt, not this page. If the situation isn't in your prompt, it doesn't exist.

Optional. These shape the output when you run your prompt below, not your score.
